Cape Cod Kitchen

The first moment we walked through the doors of this home all we saw was massive potential. Charming and full of character in the way only an old home could be.

The goal here was not to overhaul it, but restore and repurpose while also adding in modern elements that reflected our client’s style.

We wanted the over all feel to be light and airy, and really let the different textures shine. The star is the gorgeous walnut island and floating shelves custom built by @woodshopchicago. From there we added beautiful marbled quartz countertops throughout. The three inch thick slab on the island compliments the walnut in such a stunning visual. Square glazed ceramic tile adds depth and texture to the walls with the handcrafted Moroccan look, and the pendants layered on another soft shape and natural texture.

All of the cabinets were repurposed with a fresh coat of paint and modern brass hardware, and the floors were also repainted to brighten the space.

The modern black and acrylic counter stools, and the beautiful vintage feeling runner were the final elements to polish and elevate.

We wanted the core of this home to feel as inviting and warm as the sweet family that lives here, and just couldn’t be happier with how it came together. Thanks for trusting us and sticking through it, A. We feel really honored to be a small part of this space.
