Mom + Dad’s Living Space

This was was just as fun as it was personal — Kaitlin’s parents’ living room!

They came to us ready to overhaul their current space which no longer served them. The furniture was old, tired, and uncomfortable.

For anyone that knows her parents, you know they are cool. They have great style and personalities, and they wanted this room to reflect that.

Since retiring, Kaitlin’s Dad has taken up woodworking as a hobby and wanted to add some custom pieces to the space. So we came up with a plan to add a walnut mantle above the fireplace and walnut paneling behind the built-ins to help them pop but still feel timeless. He beautifully paired walnut and maple and WOW is it a stunner! We firmly believe that he should start selling his work - biggest fans right here

The oversized photography on the wall is from an artist who took this shot of Lake Michigan during a sunset. The orange hues really compliment the blue accents throughout the room and tie all the decor together.

We are thrilled they finally have the living room they deserve and can enjoy for years to come!
