Laid Back Lounge

Our clients recently moved across state lines and needed help bringing this room to life. Its the first space you see when you enter the house, so we needed to ensure it set the tone for the rest of the home. It’s our favorite when we get to start with a blank slate!

We knew the fireplace needed to be the focal point of the space, so we drew up a board and batten accent and fireplace surround that our clients executed beautifully, and it was topped off with a stunning Woodshop Chicago original mantel. Vertical mirrors were added to the sides of the fireplace to reflect light, integrate another wow factor, and make the narrow room feel larger. The real greens, textured pillows, and natural accents deliver that cozy factor our clients were yearning for. The flow through the space easily allows for additional seating to be pulled in when needed, and we’re looking at our calendar for which Friday night we can come over for dirty martinis and game night in here!
